Fin!

Done. Done. Done!!! Paid 16 ish dollars for everything to be printed

Dropped everything off at Anna Arnold's office.. With detailed instructions, I will check back later when she arrives.

It's done! It's printed. It's uploaded. It's rendered. It's filmed. Everything's been done.

Quite a learning experience...

Who knew there is a difference in sound on a computer vs. a cell phone. I didn't. I learned THAT after having to fix a video I played on my phone (even though I had already watched 11,000 times on YouTube without problems..)

I also had to do the same with font size.. It looked great on the computer. Not so much on my phone. Unfortunately, it's not one quick and easy step to fix.. You have to render every time you make an adjustment.. Which means waiting.. Then Premiere will crash every time you move the text.. Which is more waiting.. Then you have to re-upload to from Premiere to YouTube .. More waiting.. And then editing the description/ title/ & tags on YouTube... & waiting while it formats..

If I didn't have patience before, I do now!

I learned that no matter how detailed and explicit your directions are.. People still may not understand.. Which means lots of phone calls/ emails/ texts/ meetings/ and more waiting..

Deadlines may not mean the same thing to others as they do to you..

Learning a program you've never worked with is hard.. YouTube is great for tutorials.

Proper equipment is crucial. If possible, own your own. Which means no late fees, your settings stay as you wanted them, and generally speaking.. You've probably worked with your own equipment before. Oh and most importantly.. You can access it on your own time. Not 9-5, only for two days, two weeks, or having to leave before your finished.

Coordinating people is a difficult task.. Something we all have experience with and will deal with in the future.. But having a very laid out plan, and making your goals known from the get-go helps. Plan ahead. Great ideas will pop up. Go with it. But keep your main focus at hand. Remember the goal of your assigned task/duty/job.

Sometimes staying up all night will get the job done, sometimes.. If it's not working, and you've exhausted all ideas on how to fix it.. Go to bed. Maybe your plea to Tech Support will come in the AM. In my case, it did.

& finally...

You can do anything you put your mind to, as long as it's legal.. And you have coffee by your side.

Almost finished!!!

The awesome guys at Tapemedia QR Code Support helped figure out the video sound tabocle! Yay

Videos are all uploaded

At OfficeMax now, printing out the QR codes & poster

Fixing up stuff

Well.. the library closed at 11pm... in which I begged the security guard to let me up load to youtube & then I ran back to my dorm so I can finish uploading the last videos..

Mary Kay's video - in which I completely did myself tonight is done. yay. I noticed that the two videos that I had Chris help me on, the artists names were spelled wrong. so after uploading them I had to set them to private. I emailed him asking to please fix those asap so I can reupload them and create a new qr code for each. Unfortunately I am not able to fix this myself because I do no have Premiere Pro on my computer and the library only has elements. hmmpf.

I'll go to officemax tomorrow - in the AM, hopefully Chris will get the email and get it sent over fairly soon. I really wanted everything to be done today. It should all be done and hung by tomorrow. let's cross our fingers.

5.25 hrs

continued.. there's an issue with the sound. I can't figure out if its the qr code app or my cell phone. I'll restart my phone in the morning and hope it's that.. must sleep. 12:47pm. +30 minutes .. lost track.

something has to go right. Chris emailed me, he's uploading the fixed videos to a file and when they finish it should appear. he has gone to bed. hopefully it will work. we will see.

Coming to a wrap

It's Wednesday... Chris emailed me around 4 or 5 o'clock with the completed videos...

things I've learned as a whole:

learn everything there is to know, contain all of the knowledge and you can seemlessly run any project.... hard reality, there's no way I can learn everything there is to know in life... so I must rely on people... that being said.. generally speaking, working with others is a great experience.. When I was in Nursing, I was a very Type A personality.. after a few art classes and spending time with Diane.. I've learned to relax a little and have a bit of faith..

that being said... I realize, sometimes.. things happen.. even after incredibly explicit directions & countless amount of time explaining exactly what I need, meetings, emails, etc. Mary Kay's final video is not exactly what I wanted... Maybe I'm nit picky... but I don't like putting my name on something if it's not ... great.

so I'm in the library now, patiently waiting for my video to render.. I realize that I have a better grasp of Premiere then when I had started  (probably those 8+ hours of working on one video ha.) Anyway.. it's going pretty well. I have some awesome House music / dnb playing while I wait..

I also didn't receive the poster until 5 today.. I was planning on printing it out a little earlier, but after the delay and finding out the videos weren't what I wanted.. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to have the QR codes & Poster printed.. after that.. I'm done..

I think I've earned more than one credit.. I should check into that.. haha

this has been a good experience. I promise. I've learned a lot. I definitely want to get Premiere/ InDesign/ & Photoshop on my Mac.. you know, when I finally save up enough to buy a Mac..

Marketing, Auburn, and more

I met with Marketing - they 'branded' the poster- made some obvious changes.. I need to have them send it to me so I can go get it printed at OfficeMax

I've continued to work on the videos with Chris from Auburn - we are almost finished.. we edited the sound so there wasn't so much background noise, etc. made some changes in frame length, and added credits/ beginning titles

There was a bit of a change with the video screen being placed in the Gallery - all is figured out now. We are sticking with the QR codes placed next to the certain paintings.

As soon as the videos are all up, I will print out the QR codes from OfficeMax on nice paper and be ready to go.

Poster

I just finished making the poster that will be hung outside the Wasmer Gallery as an instructional to QR Codes.. I'm sending it to Marketing to have them 'brand' it. Then we are good to go.

I'm still debating whether or not to make a practice qr code about the internship or not.. I received opinion that it is not the focus of the show- I would not want to detract from the senior artists. . .

Last 3 videos

I met with the two students who will be helping me with Brandi's last two videos and Mary Kay's last video.
We discussed exactly what I needed and went thru all the material I brought. They definitely have a lot more experience than myself. They seem to have a good handle on what I need. By the latest the videos will be complete Wednesday.. I told them I was aiming for Monday.. I will start working on poster construction to send to Marketing for branding and then construct the two QR codes for the videos I have.. I'll consult with Anna Arnold on gallery placement

La La La - I could SING I'm so happy

Welllllll.... in 16 seconds I will be finished uploading my SECOND of who knows how many videos I have/ will be producing. WOO WHOO! This is Mary Kay's Voice video - she delves into the meaning behind her masks

... no joke, I type this.. and go figure.. Premiere decided at the last second to have an error... I'll give it another go...

http://youtu.be/eRAo5mc5mKc

yay! done.
9pm - don't forget ab 10 hr during month

Third Times A Charm

This is my third try at uploading Brandi's Video - hopefully I've worked out all the kinks... here's the link for any eager viewers. Will construct QR code for Gallery once all videos are produced. Takes very little time - in comparison to video editing.

http://youtu.be/LA8sMR9RQhE

Patience is a virtue - that I was most definitely not blessed with... but have been forcefuly learned through 'rendering'/ exporting/ and the uploading process.

Thank Heavens

I've ran around today like a lunatic - but I think it was all for a purpose. In between classes I was able to share Mary Kay's artist video - it is still in the making (but since I could not email due to the file size - learned the hard way) I decided to upload it to Youtube. I then created a set list of audio / video / image / and music that needs to be placed in the video - since we have to reconstruct it at Auburn tomorrow [because I am unable to copy it onto a flash drive for some reason]. Then was time consuming to say the least.

In the mean time I created a set list for all of Brandi's videos as well.

After class at 5 I attempted to compile the time lapse video but discovered an issue with .mov format on a mac. After 40 minutes of trying to convert it to another file format - but since I am not an Administrator on the computers, I was unable to download a converter program. So, I phoned Molly in the media center and she informed me it should work on Premiere. Alas! It did.

I ran over to the little room I've been working in. (which is starting to be more frequented than my own dorm room...) and have been working on Brandi's time lapse ever since. Premiere crashed all of 7 times, but I am finally finished. Thank the Lord. I now have one of Brandi's four short youtube videos completed. yippe. It's uploading to youtube right now - and I will begin working on finishing up Mary Kay's Voice video and uploading that as well.

1.75 + 2

running around

I met with Rodney today at 7:30am. I realized even with youtube tutorials, I was going to need help fixing up these videos. I figured out (after calling around for help) that I need to render the video after each effect/ transition I add in. Part of the slow motion problem.

Today I am compiling a set list of the videos & order - audio/video/text/music that I need. I called off work tomorrow so I can meet with Rodney and his senior class at Auburn at 11-2, so they can help me put all of this together. He said we can hopefully get it done by the end of the week.

I'm going to try and go back thursday to go over everything.

Unfortunately, when I took Rodney the footage and what I have already completed on Premiere, the Premiere videos can't just be copied onto the flash drive I bought.. So now I have to go to the library between classes to export the videos that are still in an unrefined state to show him the general gist.

ERROR

I'd like to point out that the time stamp at the bottom of this blog.. .IS SO ABSOLUTELY WRONG. on my 9:34 update it said 3 or 4 pm! I wish! Maybe I could feel that sun on my face if it was still 4pm. I'm about to check my settings - maybe it's still stuck on Europe time from my summer trip..

9:34

Wellllllll... I am currently waiting patiently (which is hard) for the video to render - suggestion from Andy via email. Hopefully this will help the slow-mo problem.

I think the second of Mary Kay's video is coming together very very nicely... if only Premiere would catch up!!!

Looks like I will be spending my Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night in here. Maybe I should get a poster to livin' up this room. The old man manican behind me (the room is shared with Nursing) is the only life-form I've seen in hours. He's not much of a talker. He does have a pack of cigarettes in his shirt pocket.

I better get a Grammy after these are finished....

joke.

leaving at 10pm
1 to 10 (- 30) = 8.5 hours

7pm update

Alright!! I took a 30 minute break around 4:22 to grab Starbuck, yogurt, and oatmeal. Obvious neccessities when editing for HOURS.

Brandi's video are giving me a bit of trouble - if i add any transition effects so it doesn't look so choppy - Premiere decides that it cannot function properly. it plays the video in sloooow motion. Hopefully Andy can advise me on that Tuesday.

I started working on Mary Kay's first video - titled Voice. almost finished.. just need to rewatch when the transitions work properly.. but otherwise I think I added a clever element to her video.

She is wonderful at speaking.. the only thing is.. I have SO MUCH FOOTAGE of her. and not enough of Brandi!! IY!

All will work out. Very excited.. this is taking a TON of time however. looks like I will be getting even more familiar with this chair over the next week. I'll be here til 11- I'm sure of it.

5.5 hours so far

Sunday Video Editing

I got to the library at 1:01 pm - editing for 1 hour and 27 minutes now..! Library closes at 11pm, so I hope I can get most of Brandi's footage done by then!

Im craving Starbucks.

Currently trying the different effects in Premiere.

Brandi's 'Process' video is about 30 seconds. which initialy scared me- that it was too short. but I realized.. I dont want to watch something drag on & on. it's to the point and gives an inside look on her working on a piece. I'm estimating about 4 videos for Brandi by the time I'm finished..

Lots of work

Yesterday was a haze... lot's of meetings, phone calls, emails, and running around related to video editing & nailing down QR code creation

I met Andy at 8:30am today to retrieve the video footage - we need to provide more space on my student H drive to transfer all of the footage from his desk to somewhere I could access it.

Miraculously, the library has place Premiere Elements 9 on a computer in the basement - which I am currently learning the basics / youtube-ing tutorials / importing all of my footage! Phew! I see the light at the end of the tunnel!!

I need to contact Diane & Anna Arnold to find out what art work of Brandi's will be placed in the show. Then I will retrieve the fancy photos they have already taken of their artwork - to add to the clips.

I spoke with Brandi yesterday about creating a QR code from her medium. This would be cool - if we had only one QR code for her. Now I realize, I will most likely have 3 short clips of her spaced out throughout her work. It makes the most sense (rather than having a 3 minute long youtube video of information that does not coorelate).

After work today I will work in the library until they kick me out!
[ while I was typing this, Brandi called me back - she will email me tomorrow a powerpoint of her artwork - she has just finished the list of her pieces that will be displayed in the show ]

Footage & more

SO!
I grabbed some great footage of Mary Kay on Saturday after Creative Arts Day! I'm hoping to work with Andy to edit soon. I think I am all set on video taping Mary Kay. I would like to grab some more shots of Brandi working in the studio as well.

As for the other artists... I guess we will have to wait until after spring break- since I'll be in El Salvador.  It's been pretty tricky getting them to respond. March is going to be a jam packed month for sure!

I found some really cool videos of Selwyn Senatori (a neo-pop artists that I discovered when I went to Europe). Maybe we can have some editing like this?

Updates!

YAY! I started filming... last Friday, Feb 22nd! Unfortunately, my first artist was incredibly late - so we had to smash some footage before I had to run off to work... on the bright side, I let her know about Creative Arts Day & she is going to work in the studio during it & we will film after I get done giving tours that day! 2 birds with one stone - the Art Dept has people in it & I can get footage of her working. We were going to try to film at her house, which is 45 mins away... we both decided it best to film on campus, that way we can show her beautiful artwork that happens to all be located at UC on her shelf!

So here's a blue note - literally blue. I videotaped Brandi as well this week & unfortunately the video camera I borrowed from the Library was not color calibrated correctly and everything was BLUE. I figured it was just the screen. NOPE! I was very wrong. So I have to go see Andy, to see if I can fix the footage or if we need to retape :/

I AM very excited about the time-lapse video I took of Brandi (while she was painting a portrait- of ME!) it's incredible... it took two days for the painting.. and I think she is doing some finishing touches next week - I've got about 1 minute 10 seconds of time lapsed painting! it's SO COOOL!!!! I need to obviously merge the videos & include a front text for the film. but it's almost done! yay!

So, I had an idea to incorporate the making of the Senior Art Show flyer into a promo video for the show. I asked to have the artists save the work in incriments so it can 'build'. I got some news that it did not get saved - however, I have got conflicting news. So, I have to figure this all out.

I'm also still trying to rangle the last two artists for filming - while still trying to get an interesting angle for the VCD majors... they have a more advertising outlook on their work - very different than Mary Kay & Brandi's Advocacy Art

Time lapse video

I found an absolutely fabulous article on how to make a time lapse video.. it has all the steps, equipment, and things you didn't think of that will mess you up. wonderful.. I think the best bet (since I don't have a dslr camera) and I do not own a time controller device is to download the time lapse app for the iphone/ipod/ipad (now only $1.99!) what a steal! haha.

I will talk to Diane tomorrow about borrowing her Ipad and downloading the app... very excited for the time lapse vid!

http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/how-to-make-time-lapse-video-ultimate-guide/

I also enjoyed how they incorporated time lapse photo stills along with with actual video of them painting... I was thinking this would be cool if we had a few segments of Brandi's paint pallet and her brush strokes
(obviously utilizing two different video cams)

Meetings Galore

Marketing:
-will set up a webpage off of the UC website specifically for the senior art students
-the QR code will be directed specifically to the vimeo or youtube video located on the website (hopefully the video will appear fullscreen in the mobile mode)
-We can utilize 'Tony' to generage a qr code - hopefully we can either customize an image in the code or have the qr code within the medium of the artists choice. (this will be explored once video footage is taken care of)

things to think about:
-artist sketches, footage while working on piece, can walk around and get multiple angle
-1-2 minutes in length , remember to tape in quiet room (well lit, no fans, etc.) possibly

-placement of QR codes underneath artist statements in gallery
-creating a playful 'station' to download code scanner & also incorporating qr codes on promotion material for the senior show

I need to do some test footage on the flip cam or cam from library (I'm getting anxious because I do not know what quality would be best)

Artists:
-I've set up 2/4 dates to start filming artists
-I finally tracked down the last artist & got her contact info to call her and set up a day
-Brandi and I will video tape the time lapse video Friday after her 'interview' video ( VERY EXCITED) placement is key.

-working with the artists to structure a video that is relevant is incredibly tricky. especially for the vcd majors. I ran into Heather and we discussed her work.. I will need to further investigate a more 'advertising angle' for her video.. I have all of these very large ideas- however timing and the ability to actually construct something so extensive is what I'm lacking in.

Bare Bones Timeline

Andy is available 8:30-5 with a day or two in notice
Brandi- Tuesdays
Heather & Constance - Class on Mondays - will talk to Constance on Monday in betwen my class, waiting on reply from Heather
Mary Kay- contacted- waiting on reply

Working out a time to be the model in Brandi's portrait and also utilize this for her timelapse! excited!

I am visualizing a 'documentary style' video clip, on angle, more relaxed, with areas of voice over.. I will need lots of footage... editing is key!
I watched this documentary on Alice Neel in my Women in Arts class.. it actually caught the classes attention due to the way it was filmed & the content being so... off the wall.
I think it's important to make this interesting, I'm sure we will get good stuff once we get the artists talking - positive things of course - but interesting.

Also, it was suggested to me that we could also utilize a projector in the front hall prior to people walking in.. pondering this over..

CMA Gallery One Experience

I am SO utterly impressed with the CMA's Gallery One. Holy Moly! It's fantastic! I was like a little kid in a candy shop... and there were actually little kids experiencing this too!!

Needless to say, I am most definitely trying to get a good creative edge for the Wasmer Gallery... especially after seeing what just came out at the CMA.

I spoke with Diane, the most important aspect of this project is to put the artists & the Gallery in a positive light. I had so much enthusiasm for my experience at the Gallery One .. I need to make people just as excited & interested in attending the Senior Art Show!

I think utilizing social media will really help.. showing the artists (who they are, what they are making & thinking [I know first hand, that until I read the little plack next to an art piece or read about it in a book I may be a little lost as to the message artists are trying to get across] and the process of them actually DOING it)

I was thinking of making the artists & the viewers connected somehow..

Picasso's La Vie was shown at the CMA as well, it was very interesting to see his sketches & know the back story of his work. They also did an x-ray of one of his pieces and found that it was something entirely different than the finished product..

This blog entry & the one below are all incredibly fun interactive things I experienced at:

The Lute Player, Samuel Arlent-Edwards, Late 1800s – early 1900s
This chipper lute player looks to the side as if hearing an unseen accompanist

Interactive screen explaing the Mythology is the Symbolism - We were able to not only SEE the mythology in art but CONSTRUCT a mythological comic

This was REALLY cool!! it explored the different ideas of 'the lion' in various artworks, even polled the viewers to see their impressions of the art "fierce, playful, powerful- relating to the lion pieces
The Lion pieces were located directly behind the monitor!!'

Allowing the user to learn and create their own mythological story!!!!

This was cool, as I walked around the rest of the museum I was able to listen to videos and learn a little extra about certain art pieces- you are able to RENT iPads to take out!

Needless to say, I played for an hour alone in Gallery One, This had me posture myself like the statues to see what it was like, then gave a brief description of the artwork
Another amazing feature, you were able to 'make a ceramic pot'.. all the steps! (minus the kiln)

They had a large screen set up, giving very detailed info on the artworks located behind the touch screen. VERY VERY COOl. all of the artists were Cleveland based! there were 6 interesting tabs on each artwork - location of the work, who made it, why, how did they construct it, where was it before the museum, other interesting tid bits!!! (learned alot!!)

This was part of an earlier picture above, This monitor detailed 3 different stories - Perseus, Bacchus, and Adam & Eve... showed these through art works and even film!

She has wisdom in her words!

What I think is truly incredible.. is that I vividly remember Diane telling me in Design Foundations how important it is to not be in a 'bubble'. That we are all doing things (artwork, ideas) that others are also doing/ thinking / feeling. Artists need to realize that we are all interconnected & to branch out & see what else is being done so that we can grow, etc.
Morale of the story, After pondering the question- what is interactive - I googled interactive art.

yup.. flabbergasted! Who know.. interactive art has been around for decades. I guess I just popped my interactive bubble.. slowly but surely...

more incredible discoveries to come!

Other Info

I spoke with Andy about the pros/cons of using iMovie on the Mac and also the iMovie app on the iPad.. He suggested utilizing Premier - which will hopefully be available to students in the upcoming month (fingers crossed!) He will be able to assist me in video editing and footage if we have a good time frame set out for him, etc.
This would be good so I can get better video footage, etc. Since I am no expert and shooting film... and he is. I'm excited to work with him and learn Premier as well. I spoke with Sr. Rosaria, she thinks that Premier is also a good option..

I decided The One Department, Many Voices Exhibit interactive video would be incredibly hard to accomplish if we wanted it to be done well. I would prefer to focus on the Senior Student Art Gallery & have it done exceptionally well then throw together something & hope it works.
I'm really trying to brainstorm ideas for these videos now.. also, I'm hoping to speak with the CC Art Gallery contact to get a better idea on what's new!

1 hr

The BIG question

what is INTERACTIVE?

I am having an issue with this QR code idea, I like it.. but, I know people.. they need an incentive or a push to do something.. even something small. so taking the time to download a free app.. that will give access to an 'exclusive' look is great... in my opinion... but I'm unsure of how motivated others will feel.
possible answer - put QR code info / promo video link on Gallery Invite, and make a social media blast to get people excited/ prepared / ready.

second answer... find a motivator. create a motivator.. I was thinking of the way the hot spots in London had a QR code linked to a site that let individuals document their own experiences/ stories/ memories at a particular historic location in the city. possibly having a 'I was here' 'I saw this' 'this is what I liked' kind of thing? it could turn into a critique of somesort... hmm.. another possible answer.. have it make an effect on something..

researching interactive art -

need to hone in on video/ audio/ social media

Progress

I've met with 2 of the 4 Senior Art Students. I've gotten a good feel for their previous, their artist's statement, and explored possible unique paths for the QR code placement/video design.

I also spoke with Anna Arnold - she showed me the wonderful videos she quickly constructed on iMovie on her iPhone & told me to run with any good, exciting ideas!
- possibly sending out the Senior Art Flyer with a QR code with a preview attached
- customizing the QR codes to the students media or body of work

I also spoke with Diane Pinchot about working with the One Department, Many Voices II exhibit, opening on Feb. 8th, 2013. This will be a shortened version of the main mastermind for the Senior Art Show. This will be a challenge to compile all video/audio/ and photo images while coordinating a good theme for the video. It will all work out, I'm sure.

Next: Speak with Sr. Rosaria about layering in iMovie, Speak with the two senior students left, work with a QR Code generator, organize appropriate interview questions for the One Department, Many Voices II video!

Brainstorming

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3qv2dSXQXk

my source behind this all!

I think it would be absolutely fabulous to make each code unique to each artist. this would be fantastic for Heather Beachy to incorporate her graffics.. Im not sure if she does any animation, I know she was in an animationclass. We will see!!
Brandi could utilize the content behind her art works to further impact the viewer. visuals, statistics, with an audio voice over

just a running log of my thoughts...
to be continued

To Do Next List:

- Get a list of the Senior Student in the Gallery - I know 3 out of the 4 (I'd like to get an idea of where there art is, when they work, when I can video, what THEY would like, any ideas, etc)
-Speak to Sr. Rosaria about video / audio production. I have to say I am lacking in videography experience. I am very excited and willing to hard hit the learning process, but I need to start.. NOW.
( I want to discuss the different options, video camera, iphone would most likely be to low quality, using iMovie to edit.. or a different software?, how to layer video footages and audio segments, etc.) (find out what supplies I need)
-research what other Art Gallerys are doing with digital media (speak to CC Art Gallery contact?)
-most QR codes are free.. to make them in line with branding, etc it will cost.. look at pros / cons

All should be done before the end of the week (Feb. 2nd)

Research

Right now, I'm researching different options to link our possible video/audio pieces within the Art Gallery..
A huge hit is QR Codes-
http://notixtech.com/blog/6-qr-code-alternatives-disproved-including-nfc-microsoft-tag-and-ar

I've looked into multiple websites discussing the pros & cons of QR codes, and their competitors.
what would be really great is either somehow incorporating a QR code or a Microsoft 'tag' (basically the same thing, not as popular - but more colorful) with the actual artwork. or next to the artist statement

the pros - you can track  & analyze the traffic used for QR codes
the cons - getting people to actually download the scanner app to then SCAN the QR code

another obvious option is just have a video screen right there, in the art gallery playing.. or something like the Art Museum - with a handheld speaker where you can listen to whatever information they are giving you
- Im not as fond of those options, 1. becaues it's been done before 2. because I have personally been IN the Wasmer Gallery when there was a video playing and an option to put on the headset. I was way too bored with it. I was like nah. I'd rather not listen to the video thats on repeat. It does not have the same alur as an 'exclusive' behind the scenes construction of what you are viewing in the gallery. and obviously the audio box does not incorporate visuals. I was at Versailles this summer and had an option to listen on my phone to information about what I was obsurving... which, some people were.. but, again... I lost interest after a bit.

I learned in PR that.. even this blog for instance, its probably too wordy! people read in snippets online... and for that matter, people from my generation surely do not have the attention span or desire to listen or watch a 10 minute info article.

I'd like to keep these short Youtube videos. have it action packed. the design process is exhilerating. full of ideas, mess ups, and a whirl wind of thoughts that never get recorded because artists are so 'in their head' that they don't always bother or remember to write it down

I hope I can get that side of things...

Day 1-ish

I learned of my new internship on Tuesday, January 15th of this week. Since then I have stopped by to see the new Wasmer Gallery Director, Anna Arnold! I will meet with Tim Ferris and Beth Kavran this upcoming week to get the exact details on my roles and responsibilities for this internship. I am incredibly excited! It seems like I can really use a combination of the things I am learning at UC, both within Studio Arts, PR, & Marketing! Its great because I am interested in social media and the possible connections we can make within the Art Dept. I have thought of some ideas to incorporate the Senior's artist statements, designs, and process through a short video (as if a fastforwarded timeline with a voice over of their thoughts / feelings / etc. about their art and what goes through their mind while making it). It will be great to incorporate my digital photography class that I am taking this semester within this project!
SO EXCITED!

*when I get a full idea of my role as intern I will include that in my "description"
